Over the weekend, Lethbridge Police red-flagged two motorcycles engaged in a street race and handed out 60 violation tickets for traffic offences including speeding, stunting, excessive exhaust noise and no insurance.   

Lethbridge Police have charged two males with firearms offences following a high-risk arrest that resulted in the seizure of a loaded gun.

Members of the Lethbridge Police Critical Incident Team are participating training scenarios on the northside today between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m. There is no risk to the public.

Lethbridge Police have charged a 36-year-old male in connection with an historic sexual assault and believe there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward. 

UPDATE: The LPS Recruiting Unit is hosting a sitting for the Alberta Police Cognitive Ability Test (APCAT) on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.

The APCAT is available to potential candidates and should be successfully completed prior to applying with LPS.

Lethbridge Police have concluded a six-week, city-wide project targeting street-level drug traffickers that resulted in the seizure of thousands of doses of drugs, more than 150 criminal charges and two dozen arrests.

Lethbridge Police are participating in a low light/no light shooting exercise at the Police Range today, June 3, 2025, until 11:00 p.m. Those in the area can expect to hear shots being fired during that time.
